Ohio Eta Chapter

The Ohio Eta Chapter of Phi Delta Theta has been present at Case Western Reserve University for over 120 years. Since 1896, a select few students at Case Western have been able to call themselves Phi Delts.


The good man is one who is of strong character, just and generous in his friendship, loyal and upright. Friendship is born between men who share these ideals. Every member of Phi Delta Theta partakes in many interactions as well as several activities that help in fostering this most vital element. Every Phi Delt learns to pick his models and make sacrifices for the greater good of our Phi Delt brotherhood.

Sound Learning

Academics play a vital role in the Phi Delta Theta fraternity life as we hope to shape our young men into well-rounded individuals by the time they graduate. We want every member to enjoy college to its highest potential, and we understand that the greatest enjoyment and fulfillment from college comes from achievements made in the classroom.


Fraternity recruitment at CWRU lasts about two weeks and is held in both the fall and spring semesters. We host a wide variety of events during these weeks in order to try to get to know you and see if you have what it takes to be a Phi Delt. It is also an opportunity for you to learn more about us.
